Sharp-Shinned Hawk
An adolescent Sharp-shinned Hawk, the smallest hawk in North America, photographed in St. Andrews, New Brunswick, Canada. Known as a daring and acrobatic flier, this one took temporary refuge on the front wall of a home near the St. Andrews waterfront. Ignoring passersby on the nearby sidewalk, the hawk later flew off unharmed.
